You will start your safari in the kingdom of the elephants, Tarangire National Park. Visit the famous Serengeti, home to an abundance of wildlife as well as the impressive wildebeest migration. And the striking Ngorongoro Crater, a natural wonder with the world’s highest concentration wildlife. These are two of Africa’s Seven Natural Wonders you can witness on this amazing safari.

Itineraries

Day 1:

Arrival (flight with KLM)

Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport around 8:15pm. Meet and greet with our driver/guide, who will help you with your luggage and take you to your organized hotel for your overnight stay and dinner.

Day 1:

Arrival (flight with Ethiopian Airlines or Qatar)

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport at approximately 12:30pm. Meet and greet with our driver/guide who will assist you with your luggage and transfer you to your organized hotel for your overnight stay and dinner in Karatu.

Day 2:

Tarangire National Park

This morning drive to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire is traversed by the Tarangire River, which never dries up. Being the only source of water during the dry season, it draws hundreds of animals to the park, making for a wildlife and bird viewing spectacular. The landscape is varied, with grassy savannah plains, swamps, hills and spectacular baobabs. Enjoy a full day in the park with game viewing.

Day 3:

Ngorongoro Crater - Drive to Serengeti

Early morning Ngorongoro Crater Tour. This is the best place in Tanzania to see black rhino as well as prides of lion that include the magnificent black-manned males. There are lots of colorful flamingoes a variety of water birds. Other game that you can see includes leopard, cheetah, hyena, other members of the antelope family, an small mammals, than drive to Serengeti overnight in Serengeti NP.

Day 4:

Serengeti National Park

Full day game drive Serengeti NP. The word “Serengeti” is derived from the Maasai language, meaning “endless plain”. Serengeti NP is place for carnivorous Animals such as Leopard, Lion and Cheetahs. Then, in the late evening drive to and overnight at Serengeti NP.

Day 5:

Mara River

Drive to Mara River via Ikoma for Focus Migration crossing Mara River. In July/August the world famous crossing of the Mara River begins. To get to Masai Mara in Kenya and the fresh grass, the herds have to cross the river. Those that survive stay in Masai Mara for a while and graze before moving back towards Tanzania and crossing the Mara River again. The crossing is one of the highlights of the great migration. Crocodiles lurk in the river, hunting the many prey as they cross. A dramatic fight for survival begins.

Day 6:

Serengeti National Park

Head out after breakfast we enjoy a full day game drive.

Day 7:

Serengeti NP / Drive to Karatu

After early breakfast we enjoy another game drive at Serengeti National Park. Around noon we drive to Karatu for overnight. On our way we have time for Visit Massai Village.

Day 8:

Lake Manyara

This morning drive to Lake Manyara National Park. Set against the steep escarpment of the Rift Valley, you’ll find Lake Manyara National Park with its evergreen groundwater forest and variety of ecosystems including acacia woodland, grassy plains, a swampy fan delta, and – of course – the expansive lake. This diversity attracts a wide variety of mammal, bird, and wildlife species. Manyara is also home to rare tree- climbing lions. The park offers excellent game viewing with buffalo, impala, giraffe, bushbuck, waterbuck, hippos, and lots of elephants roam near the lake. Also look out for blue monkeys, vervet monkeys, and the very active Olive baboon troops . Then we drive back to Arusha overnight or flight home or Zanzibar.
